| Madrid... again |
07.06.2005 |
Today I went again to Madrid. This time it was a lonely trip, for just one day, and with an specific goal: To get my UK visa!
I departed from Valencia at 3am and got to Madrid at about 7:30. At the bus I didn't slept much, because the driver had like the worst music ever... I had my MiniDisc, but the earphones hurted my ears after a while, and as I know all the lyrics I couldn't sleep either...
I just fell sleep at about 6am, and exactly then my friend Juanfer called me. I didn't feel the cell phone, so he just left me a message.
Anyway, we got to Madrid and I went to the consulate. I needed a bank account balance, but the banks opened at 8:30, so I eat some breakfast, went to the bank, and then headed to the consulate. My appointing was at 11, but I could enter before that anyway, by just smiling to the security lady. I went upstairs and gave them my papers, and then waited for some minutes talking to a colombian couple.
Then I paid the visa, and a girl called me and asked me a couple of questions, and then she said "ok, it's approved, come at 14:00 to claim it"
I then went to eat something at burger king, but it was closed, so I went to mcDonalds. Then I went to the retiro park and read for a while the book that Alex gave me for my birthday (The Medic, Noah Gordon). At 1:30pm I went back to the consulate. I went upstairs again, and they gave me my passport with the new visa.
Then I walked to the bus station for about 50 minuts with about 33ºC. I got there at 3:30, and my ticket said 5pm, so I changed it.
This trip I slept another 45 minutes and read for a while (about 190 pages all day).
When I got home, around 8:30pm, I drunk a beer (500ml) and a piece of mi birthday's cheescake. At the mailbox I found some letter from Medellin that I have to claim at the post office, but I don't even know from whom it is!
I then went to the university soccer fields to play for a while with some spanish guys, after more than 40 hours without sleep. But I enjoyed it anyway.
I came home and I found a birthday present from Bea, Florian, Björn y Helene. A little soccer ball from Valencia FC, signed by them (and some dog who bitted it. I hate dogs!). I then took a shower and drunk a few more beers, and now I'm here at 2am writing this stuff.
I leave you with a quickly made collage with pictures taken today! BYTE!
